JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC
Juvéderm Vollure XC is the first and only filler to last up to 18 months on moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Aging, genetics, and environmental factors like sun exposure can cause parentheses lines to become more visible. When injected into the targeted area, Juvéderm Vollure softens moderate parentheses lines and wrinkles by adding subtle volume around the nose and mouth area. Additionally, Vollure is also used as a tear trough filler, and is injected in the area underneath the eyes.
Juvéderm Vollure XC is the same exact formula as Juvéderm Vollure, but contains lidocaine, which is an anesthetic that makes the injection more comfortable for the patient.
HOW DOES JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC WORK?
Juvéderm Vollure XC is an injectable gel treatment. Vollure is a crystal-clear gel made of hyaluronic acid — which is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Unfortunately, as we get older, our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid, leaving the skin dehydrated, resulting in the appearance of wrinkles and folds in the skin. However, when injected into the targeted area, Juvéderm Vollure XC hydrates the cells in one’s muscles, and skin, and is able to “fill in” these wrinkles and folds.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VOLLURE AND ULTRA PLUS?
When it comes to parentheses lines, Vollure is used more as a “topper.” We often used Vollure in our younger patients (such as patients who in their 20s) given that their parentheses lines tend to be less pronounced, than someone who is in their 30s and up. If you are looking for something more filling and volumizing, Ultra Plus is likely the better treatment option for you.
ARE YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE?
If you are looking to soften moderate parentheses, or tear trough, lines and wrinkles, Juvéderm Vollure XC is likely the perfect treatment option for you.
