JUVÉDERM ULTRA PLUS XC

Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is a thicker version of its “sister” dermal filler, Juvéderm Ultra. At Between The Lines Aesthetic we prefer to use Ultra Plus (we refer to it as just “Juvéderm”) as it is proven to give a more natural look, and can fill out problem areas for longer. For example, Juvéderm Ultra will only last for about six months, while Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC will continue to treat the problem area(s) for up to one whole year. So, in order to assure our patients receive the most natural and optimal outcome, we only use Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC

 

Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is the same exact formula as Juvéderm Ultra Plus, but contains lidocaine, which is an anesthetic that makes the injection more comfortable for the patient.

 

HOW DOES JUVÉDERM ULTRA PLUS XC  WORK?

Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is an injectable gel treatment. Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is a crystal-clear gel made of hyaluronic acid — which is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Using a needle, Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is injected into the desired area(s) where it then helps to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and/or add volume.

 

WHERE IS JUVÉDERM ULTRA PLUS XC USED?

Juvéderm Ultra Plus can be used to add volume to, and plump lips, as well as smooth and correct, moderate to severe parentheses lines.

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ULTRA PLUS AND VOLBELLA?

When it comes to lips, if you are looking to add volume to your lips, Ultra Plus is likely the more ideal treatment for you. If you are looking for a more hydrated lip, Volbella would likely be the better option as it targets fine lines.

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ULTRA PLUS AND VOLLURE?

When it comes to parentheses lines, Vollure is used more as a “topper.” We often use Vollure in our younger patients (such as patients who in their 20s) given that their parentheses lines tend to be less pronounced than someone who is in their 30s and up. If you are looking for something more filling and volumizing, Ultra Plus is likely the better treatment option for you.

 

ARE YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE?

If you are looking to add volume to your lips, or smooth your parentheses lines, Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC may be the perfect treatment for you.

In order to receive Juvéderm treatment, all patients must be over the age of 21. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use dermal fillers. Anyone who has recently used blood thinners or has a bleeding disorder should also avoid dermal fillers.
